German Cockroach
Extremely heavy infestations are not uncommon. Often found aboard ships. Typically, this species is thought of as the “bug” on the kitchen counter or in the cabinet. This cockroach should be of greater concern, due to the fact it has been implicated in the development and aggravation of allergies and asthma. It is known to transmit bacteria and a parasitic protozoan.
