Millipede
- Appearance:
1/4" to 1/2" wormlike. Usually dark and shiny in color. Can have 30-90+ pairs of legs. - Habitat:
Millipedes need might moisture areas to survive. They are nocturnal and usually migrate in large groups. Millipedes can usually be found under trash and in piles of excess grass clippings. - Reproduction:
Females lay approx. 20-300 eggs. These eggs can breed anytime throughout the year, usually after a few weeks of being hatched. - Tips For Control:
The main tip for control is to eliminate the moisture. Keep a mowed lawn, and the grass pile well into the woods, or dispose of it. Keep you yard free of leaves and other debris.
