1/4" to 1/2" wormlike. Usually dark and shiny in color. Can have 30-90+ pairs of legs.
Millipedes need might moisture areas to survive. They are nocturnal and usually migrate in large groups. Millipedes can usually be found under trash and in piles of excess grass clippings.
Females lay approx. 20-300 eggs. These eggs can breed anytime throughout the year, usually after a few weeks of being hatched.

The main tip for control is to eliminate the moisture. Keep a mowed lawn, and the grass pile well into the woods, or dispose of it. Keep you yard free of leaves and other debris.
