McCain vs. Obama Cockroach Race!
Every year for 56 years running, Pest Management Professional sponsors a presidential candidate cockroach race. Each candidate has a cockroach, and they race.
Excerpt from mypmp.net
“It was over so fast,” said Len Douglen, executive director of the NJPMA. “The McCain cockroach ran the length of the track in under five seconds, while the Obama cockroach appeared to be reluctant to even leave the opening gate.”
This was the 14th roach derby held by the NJPMA and, in election years, individual roaches are designated to represent candidates. Cockroaches designated Republican and Democrat were stand-ins for the as yet unknown vice president candidates. The GOP cockroach won that race.
Two giant Madagascar roaches, an Obama and a McCain surrogate, raced down a six-foot long Plexiglas track to the cheers of some of the more than 600 pest management industry observers.
We cant believe over 600 people went to see this race. Over the years this race has gained a lot of steam. We cant wait to see who the next race is between.
Intelligent Pest Solutions wishes our new president, Barack Obama the best of luck in office.
