FDA Inspects Peanut Factory

This has been a very popular topic in the food and health world. We have wrote about this before when The Peanut Corp of America was first shut down, and when an additional factory was closed in Texas.
Inspectors for the Food and Drug Administration got to work this moring investigating their Texas plant. So for in their findings they have found one mouse, leaking roofs, rodent droppings, bird nests and peanut paste buildups on machines. This is just the very begenning of the inspections that the FDA will be doing.
There is talk of congress working on passing a bill that would give the FDA more power in regards to inspections and public health.
The FDA has announced that they would like everyone to be aware of what is in there kitchen cabinets and what they are eating. The FDA believes that there are still many peanut products out there that have been recalled that people have ignored.
